Jim is not a medical device, and its content does not constitute medical advice.
- The App provides fitness tracking, workout planning, nutrition logging, and AI-powered coaching features. These are general fitness tools and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new exercise programme, changing your diet, or if you have concerns about your health.
- If you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or any other concerning symptoms during exercise, stop immediately and seek medical attention.
- The App's fatigue scores, recovery metrics, and progression suggestions are based on general exercise science principles and your self-reported data. They do not account for all individual physiological factors.
3. AI Coach Disclaimer
The AI coaching feature uses artificial intelligence (large language models) to generate responses about fitness and nutrition. All AI-generated content is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only.
Important limitations you must understand before using the AI Coach:
- The AI Coach is not a certified personal trainer, registered dietitian, nutritionist, physiotherapist, or medical professional of any kind. It has no professional qualifications, certifications, or licences.
- AI responses are generated by a large language model based on statistical patterns. They may contain inaccuracies, fabricated information, outdated guidance, or suggestions that are unsuitable or dangerous for your individual circumstances.
- The AI Coach cannot assess your physical condition, detect injuries, diagnose medical conditions, or provide emergency medical guidance. It does not know your full medical history.
- AI-generated workout plans, calorie targets, macro recommendations, supplement suggestions, recovery timelines, and exercise form advice are general ideas only. They are not personalised professional recommendations.
- Always consult a qualified professional (personal trainer, registered dietitian, sports physiotherapist, or physician) before making changes to your exercise routine, diet, or health regimen based on AI suggestions.
- You assume full and sole responsibility for any decision you make based on AI-generated content. I am not responsible for any injury, illness, adverse health outcome, property damage, or other loss resulting from reliance on AI Coach output.
- The AI Coach may occasionally generate responses that sound confident or authoritative.Confidence in tone does not indicate accuracy or professional validity.
4. Nutrition Disclaimer
- Calorie and macronutrient calculations are estimates based on the data you enter and information from food databases. Actual values may vary.
- The App does not diagnose or treat eating disorders, food allergies, or nutritional deficiencies.
- Daily targets and nutrition recommendations are general guidelines, not personalised medical nutrition therapy. Consult a registered dietitian for personalised advice.
5. Exercise Disclaimer
- Performing exercises carries inherent risks of injury. You assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages that may occur while following workout plans or exercises suggested by the App.
- Auto-generated workout plans are based on the information you provide (experience level, equipment, goals). They cannot account for all individual limitations.
- Always use proper form and appropriate weights. If unsure about exercise technique, seek guidance from a qualified fitness professional.
- Progression suggestions (weight increases, volume changes) are algorithmic estimates. Only progress when you can do so with proper form.
6. No Professional Relationship
Use of the App does not create a professional-client relationship. I am a student and software developer, not a healthcare or fitness services provider. Jim is a personal project built for fun and personal use.

The App may reference exercises, nutritional information, or other content derived from third-party sources and databases. I do not endorse and am not responsible for the accuracy of third-party content.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, I shall not be held liable for any injury, health issue, damage, or loss arising from the use of the App, including but not limited to:
- Following workout plans or exercise suggestions
- Following nutrition recommendations or AI coach advice
- Relying on fatigue scores, recovery metrics, or progression data
- Data inaccuracies in food databases or exercise information
9. Assumption of Risk & Your Responsibility
By using the App, you expressly acknowledge and agree that:
- You are voluntarily participating in physical exercise and assume all associated risks
- You are in adequate physical condition to perform the exercises you select
- You will stop exercising immediately if you experience any concerning symptoms
- AI-generated content (including the AI Coach, AI summaries, and AI-powered suggestions) may be incorrect, misleading, or inappropriate for your situation, and you will not treat it as professional advice
- You will verify any AI-generated fitness, nutrition, or health guidance with a qualified professional before acting on it
- You will consult healthcare professionals for all medical decisions
- You accept full responsibility for your own health and safety while using the App, and release the developer from any liability arising from your use of AI-generated content or fitness features
