How fatigue is estimated

Each exercise you log generates a stimulus score for the muscles it targets. The score is based on:

  • Load — weight relative to your capacity
  • Reps & sets — total volume performed
  • Proximity to failure — RPE/RIR adjusts intensity
  • Set type — warmups contribute less; failure sets contribute more
  • Muscle involvement — primary vs secondary contribution weights

Fatigue decays exponentially over time (48h half-life). The recovery window adapts based on the muscle group's base recovery time and your current fatigue level.
